Previous Projects
Bredon’s Hardwick, Tewkesbury.
Originally, our customers were having a swimming pool installed in the large garden adjacent to the house. Unfortunately with poor ground conditions (running sand 1500mm below ground level) meant that it was not going to be practical for this property. Instead, plans were drawn up to utilise the space into a much more usable area. With this particular customer conscious of the environment we installed a 5000ltr rainwater harvesting tank to the rear of the timber framed building (built by the customer). We then ran a network of irrigation pipes to various points within the raised flower beds which the customer will use for watering their plants. Additonally, ducting was installed to allow electrical points to be added for a hot tub, garden lighting and power for their soon to be built garden bar.
Type 1 was then used to build up the foundations of the patio. Porcelain 900x600mm slabs were then laid half bond to the shape the customer was wanting. We then cut the curve out of the patio and edged with pavers. A new Asphalt driveway will be installed in the coming year.
Strensham Nr. Twyning.
This project of installing a gravel road down the side of this customers garden which will lead to a steel cladded barn in the near future. A circle steel frame was installed with a walkway from the road which was cladded in timber. The idea behind the circle enclosure was that the customer could have a private area from overlooking neighbours. The road was dug out to a depth of 18 inches, layered with Terram and built up with type 2 stone. It was retained with a steel edging strip which was welded in situ to steel posts hidden in the stone. The stone was compacted with a Bomag before the final layer of suitable stone was laid.
